About Lao Lü

Welcome to my tea life — let's taste and drink tea together!

I am Lao Lü. In 2003 I opened my personal website netbei.com; in 2004 I began preparing codepub.com; in 2008 I founded 51 Puer Net; in 2012 I made the Zhongmu brand of pu-erh; in 2015 I started the crowdfunded-tea project; in 2017 I founded Houyue Ancient Tea; and at the end of 2018 I co-founded Dehong Ancient Tea…

These days there are so many platforms — WeChat, official accounts, Toutiao, QQ Space, Baijiahao — that I hardly know where to put things. What I still need is a space of my own, where I can sort and file everything I write: that was the original purpose of this website.

When it comes to tea, I love wild, original-ecology teas and teas with a long, lingering aftertaste. What I long for most is a life of "drinking wine in big bowls and eating meat in big chunks". I do like spirits too, but my tolerance is poor. I love wuxia novels, especially short wuxia stories: in a few lines, the tenderness of the men and women of the jianghu and the chivalrous spirit of the great swordsmen all leap off the page — what a delight!

Because I love wuxia fiction and once tried writing it myself — but my energy is limited after all — I have chosen instead to sort, copy and share my favourite short wuxia stories on this site.

This website has four sections: Wuxia, Talking About Tea on Paper, Miscellaneous (except items marked as reprints), and Tea Articles. Except for the Wuxia section (and even there, a few pieces are my own original work), every piece of content is original. If anything infringes your rights, please contact me in time and I will promptly remove (or correct) it. Thank you!
