In the spring of 2012, in Mahei Village, Yiwu, Mr. Li from Kunming dropped by tea farmer U's home. U was very hospitable, brewing tea and cooking meals. After tasting U's freshly sun-dried ancient tree tea, Li found it satisfactory and the price was reasonable. Li ordered 5 pieces (50 kg) of tea without paying a deposit. He wrote his phone number in U's notebook, saying he would visit other places in Yiwu for 2-3 days and would return to pick up the tea before leaving. After the meal, Li left with a large bag of tea samples given by U.

Li was delayed by other matters and didn't return to pick up the tea until over a week later. U said, "You've come at last! I called many times but couldn't get through. Someone wanted to buy the tea in the meantime, but I had promised you, so I felt embarrassed to sell it. I was really worried." Li muttered, "That's impossible, my phone has been on all the time," while flipping through U's notebook, and found that the phone number was indeed wrong by one digit.

From then on, Li visited U's home every year, often coming in groups of three or five with friends who were also into tea. Li and his friends ate many of U's chickens and bought a lot of tea from U.
