Today I watched a movie, The Fighter, which was quite exciting. Brother Dick had boxing talent from a young age and always trained his younger brother Mickey. Dick defeated the world champion in his twenties, becoming the pride of his hometown. But the impetuous Dick started taking drugs and never recovered. Dick and the family's hopes were placed on Mickey. To help raise funds for his brother's training, Dick went to prison. Mickey injured his right hand in a conflict with police while helping his brother, and in confusion and disappointment, he almost gave up boxing. Later, with the help of family, girlfriend, and others, he returned to the ring and qualified for the world championship. At that time, Dick was released from prison, and the brothers reconciled. Dick trained Mickey, and with brotherly unity, Mickey finally won the championship.

This is not the main point I want to talk about tonight. I have seen many inspirational movies based on real people and real events, such as Glory, Goal!, Rudy, The Greatest Game Ever Played, The Pursuit of Happyness. They all tell stories of protagonists who go through hardships, persevere, and finally achieve success. They share a common characteristic, which is the title of today's movie: Fighter. Fortunately, as fighters, they all succeeded in the end.

What about those fighters who did not succeed?

Without success, there is no appeal, and it would not be a good movie script. But that is real life, a movie that plays every day without a script, happening around us, and we are all actors. One general's glory is built on the bones of ten thousand soldiers. Those who achieve great success are rare. Most of us are ordinary people, but we have all been or are now fighters. We have all had ambitions, worked hard, or are still working hard. Most of us will not achieve great things. Most of us have to go to work, earn a living, and strive to live. Most of us are such fighters.

History, like movies, is the history of victors. But life is for each of us. We all have our own histories. For most of us, our history is the memories we have when we are old and near death. At that time, recalling the days when we were fighters, we will smile knowingly.
